I was an athlete. I competed at a high level in baseball, football, and powerlifting. What started as competition transcended into a diligent process of bettering the athlete on and off the field. Even cooler? A really amazing way to earn a living and support my number one role in this world, being a father. A mentor once told me "You can squat, deadlift, bench, and run the 40 that leaves jaws dropping, but if I can't keep you on the field I am out of a job, and if you don't have the grades you will be out of a job!"

Fast forward 10 years. What I have learned from amazing minds in the industry has transcended into a passion and purpose. I am more than a "coach", rather I am fulfilling an honest calling to serve the athlete. It isn't about numbers on a sheet, it is about translating the numbers into dynamic and efficient performance while keeping the athlete safe.

Juan Espinosa - M.S. Sport Management, 3x Pitching Coach- Top Velocity

I have a wealth of experience in the game of baseball at all levels. I am currently a pitcher for the Sonoma Stompers Professional Baseball Team. I have a keen sense of developing athletic performance by using a variety of metrics. I want to develop the athlete with a well-rounded approach that addresses developing the strength of the athlete and the mechanics of the athlete. It is important for me to not just be a coach but to embrace each athlete as a mentor.

Luke Swearingen- ACE CFT

I am a coach of many trades, going from nutrition, to mobility, to sport performance, to weight loss/gain.  I have many years of experience coaching, training, and playing different sports at the varsity level.

I got my first certification from ACE for personal training, and from then I had a passion for helping people reach their goals in a realistic way.  I was assistant head coach and lead strength and conditioning coach for Clinton Massie men and women’s varsity soccer programs.  From there I started working at a gym in Cincinnati training anyone who wanted to lose weight, gain weight, become stronger, or improve mobility.

I am currently a sports conditioning specialist, as well as a sport and exercise nutrition specialist.  My goal is to work together with you to clarify your goals as well as coming up with a plan on how to reach them in a realistic way!

Kashina Hurley, CFT

My name is Kashina Hurley and I am beyond proud and honored to have been a part of the GAC Fitness family for over 2 years now. I fell in love with fitness training about 3 years ago when I decided to change my unhealthy life completely. I lost over 120 lbs over 18 months, and it was through regular fitness and healthy eating that I changed my life! I have been blessed with the opportunity to pay it forward by bringing fitness to the lives of others as a fitness instructor. I am experienced in circuit training, bootcamp, CrossFit, HIIT, Boxing, and dance fitness such as Zumba. In addition, I recently began taking on individual clients as a personal trainer. I strongly believe exercise and fitness to being the stepping stone to forming life-changing healthy habits, and love being able to bring this to GAC Fitness. If you’re ready to take the first step on your healthy lifestyle journey, I am here and would love to help you, support you, and coach and guide you every step of the way!
